The Work

Edits built to survive the first three seconds.

Most short-form dies before second three. Every cut below is structured around the hook first, the payoff second — because that's the only part of the timeline the algorithm actually scores.

How I Work Remotely

Hiring remote is a risk. Here's how I remove it.

The hard part of a remote editor isn't the editing. It's the chasing, the time-zone gaps and the quality drift at volume. This is the system I've run for 4 years to make sure none of that lands on you.

Async by default

Loom walkthroughs and written notes instead of standing calls. You brief once — I don't come back with questions I could have answered myself. Clients report saving 5+ hours a week.

48-hour standard, not a promise

Footage in by the end of your day, first cut waiting when you log on. 500+ deliverables, 100% on time. Backup power and a second internet line so "my connection went down" is never your problem.

Your hours, not mine

I've worked US, UK, UAE and Qatar schedules for four years. I hold a real 4–6 hour live overlap with your team every working day, and I'm reachable on Slack in that window — not "sometime tomorrow".

Systems, so quality holds at volume

Named project folders, reusable caption and motion templates, a locked brand kit and a versioned review link in Frame.io. Scaling from 5 to 50 videos a month doesn't change the output quality.

What I Actually Do

Not just cutting clips. Engineering retention.

I started as Senior Video Editor at COTHM International, running end-to-end production for multi-platform campaigns. Since 2024 I've run my own remote editing operation full-time — 500+ short-form videos for AI startups, SaaS companies, fitness brands and e-commerce teams worldwide.

My edge is the opening. Around 70% of retention is won or lost in the first two seconds, so that's where I spend a disproportionate amount of the timeline. On one fitness account that approach took average watch time from 8 seconds to 34 — a 300%+ lift on the same raw footage.

Experience

Four years. Two kinds of pressure.

In-house I learned to work inside a marketing team, a brand system and a campaign calendar. Freelance I learned to deliver at volume for founders who don't have time to manage anyone. A full-time remote role needs both.

For Hiring Managers

The questions you were going to ask anyway.

When can you start?+

Immediately. I have no notice period to serve and can be onboarded and delivering inside the same week. If you need a paid trial edit first, I'll turn one around in 48 hours.

Can you actually work our hours?+

Yes — and I already do. I've worked US, UK, UAE and Qatar schedules for four years and hold a real 4–6 hour live overlap with your team every working day. Tell me your core hours and I'll confirm my exact overlap window before you interview me, not after.

Full-time, part-time or contract?+

I'm looking for a full-time remote role as my primary commitment, and I'm open to long-term contract or retainer arrangements if that's how your team hires. Either way I want one main client I can go deep on rather than ten I skim.

How many videos a week can you handle?+

Comfortably 15–25 short-form edits per week from clean footage, more when videos share a template or brand kit. If the volume is higher than that I'll tell you upfront rather than quietly missing deadlines.

What's your rate?+

Send me the band and the scope and I'll tell you straight away whether it works — no long negotiation. I price on the role, the volume and the level of ownership, and I'd rather be transparent in the first email than waste your hiring cycle.

What do you need from us to start?+

Raw footage, your brand kit or three reference videos you like, and access to wherever you want the files delivered. That's it. I'll build the templates and the folder structure myself and send you a Loom of how it works.

How do revisions work?+

Two rounds are built into every delivery cycle and reviewed on a timestamped Frame.io link so feedback doesn't get lost in chat. In practice most edits ship on the first or second pass.

Do you have your own setup?+

Yes — my own workstation, licensed Adobe Creative Cloud, calibrated monitor, backup power and a secondary internet connection. You don't need to ship me hardware or buy me seats to get started.
